Belarus increased the supply of agricultural products to Russia by 18% in the first quarter of 2023, Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Leonid Zayats said. According to him, Minsk “received $134 million more than on the same date last year.”

In 2022, Belarus increased the export of agricultural products to Russia by 24.5%, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of Belarus Vadim Shagoiko reported in March. The volume of exports amounted to $6 billion.

Against the backdrop of sanctions against Russia and Belarus, their trade turnover in 2022 rose to a record $43 billion. Russian deliveries declined, while Belarusian supplies increased noticeably due to the reorientation of this country’s exports.
