Experts from the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Institute of Space Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences told reporters about a powerful flare on the Sun, which was recorded on the night of February 22-23.
It is clarified that the explosion on the Sun was the largest in strength since 2017. The solar flare was classified as X6.3
“The radiation fluxes recorded from the Sun amounted to about 1 kilowatt per square kilometer, which is only 2-3 times lower than the record levels recorded in modern history,” the scientists said.
