In particular, to classify dolls in a new way

Experts from the Association of Children’s Goods Industry Enterprises proposed improving the new interstate standard for toys.

As MK learned, experts believe that certain categories of toys should be expanded or modified. For example, the standard distinguishes the categories “dolls representing people” and “dolls representing animals.” According to some participants in the discussion, it would be more correct to indicate the properties of dolls, because now toy manufacturers produce not only static dolls, but also mechanical, electromechanical, and hydraulic ones. Experts also note that in the GOST draft, classic board games, such as checkers and chess, are singled out in one category, and backgammon, which is quite popular in our country and many neighboring countries, is completely absent. At the same time, printed games with route completion are placed in a separate category. Meanwhile, both them and game books, also not mentioned in the standard, should be combined into a single class. Work on the standard is not yet complete. The Association reported that it will continue to collect proposals for improvements from toy and game manufacturers.
