A new rise in the incidence of COVID-19 in Russia is possible in October. This was stated by the scientific director of the Research Institute of Vaccines and Serums Vitaly Zverev. He recalled that in the autumn-winter period, all respiratory diseases begin to circulate.
The expert stressed that the coronavirus has not gone away. He stayed with the people and there’s nothing you can do about it. Since it is transmitted by airborne droplets, it refers to the respiratory. So, like everyone else, will return in the fall. Most likely sometime in October.
Recall that a new subspecies of the omicron strain is beginning to circulate in the world. In Russia, it is still a rarity. From April to July, only 17 cases of infection with this particular variant of the virus were recorded. However, doctors do not exclude the epidemiological risks associated with its spread.
