Healthy lifestyle expert, founder of the international healthy lifestyle project “On Juices” Ekaterina Vokhmyanina told “Moslente”, how to properly store cooked pancakes.
According to Vokhmyanina, stuffed pancakes are best stored in a glass container with a tight-fitting lid, so there is less risk that the dish will absorb odors. Separately, the expert emphasized that pancakes with minced meat and cottage cheese should be eaten within a day after cooking.
To store pancakes without filling without losing quality, you need to take into account their composition. For example, pancakes in milk and water are best stored in a stack: you just need to grease each pancake with oil and cover the stack with cling film.
In order to stock up on pancakes for a long time, it is best to freeze them, Vokhmyanina believes, however, the shelf life of any pancakes from the freezer should not exceed 30 days. Store pancakes in the freezer in airtight bags.
“But pancakes with sweet fillings, as well as with mushrooms and potatoes, retain their properties in the freezer for two to four months,” Vokhmyanina noted.
