Vice-President of the National Automobile Union Anton Shaparin admitted that online car sales are a useful initiative. The radio reports this “TVNZ”.
It is known that in the Russian Federation, ownership of a car passes to the buyer at the moment of signing the purchase and sale agreement. It follows that in the case of an online sale, the sales contract will be signed after delivery of the car. According to the expert, the difference between buying on the marketplace and at a car dealership is that no one will force additional services on the buyer on the marketplace. Car enthusiasts will not have to buy unnecessary accessories at inflated prices, he added.
Shaparin expressed hope that online car sales will be available throughout Russia. He emphasized that in Europe the process of transition to online car sales has long been launched, as a result of which there is a clear understanding that this is the future.
At the same time, the specialist noted that at the moment the existing scheme is not ideal. Thus, ownership of a car passes to a person only after a certain time, when he transfers money. Consequently, if the buyer is dissatisfied with the quality of the car, he or she will have questions about returning it.
