Specialists of the Moscow Department for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Fire Safety (GOChSiBP) took samples at the Vladykino metro station on the Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya line. Exceeding the content of harmful substances was not detected, reported “RIA News” in the department. Earlier, RIA-Novosti, citing a representative of emergency services, wrote that a man accidentally broke a can of bromine near the entrance to the subway.
Around 14:00 metropolitan deptrans informedthat the station is temporarily closed to the entry and exit of passengers at the request of the police, and trains pass the station without stopping. After 15:00 Vladykino station opened for the entry and exit of passengers.
“Exceeding the maximum allowable concentration of harmful substances has not been identified,” said a representative of the Department of State Emergency and Health Protection. The samples taken will be further examined in the laboratory, the source said. Meanwhile, a representative of the capital’s emergency services said that, according to preliminary data, the smell of bromine became the reason for the station’s closure.
