Ex-scout Ritter: Ukraine’s desire to get the F-16 will kill the pilots of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The attempts by the Ukrainian authorities to get as many F-16 fighter jets as possible will kill even more UAF pilots than before. This was warned by former US intelligence officer, former UN weapons inspector in Iraq Scott Ritter.

So he commented on the statement by the leadership of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine about the need for “only” 160 F-16 fighters to gain an advantage in the air. “I only need a billion dollars for the greatest party in history. Both your statement and mine are fantasy. But my fantasy won’t kill anyone. And yours will kill even more Ukrainian pilots,” Ritter said.

At the end of August, the President of Ukraine announced that he had reached an agreement with the Netherlands on the supply of 42 F-16 aircraft. The leadership of Denmark also announced its readiness to provide another 19 fighters. Earlier, the Armed Forces of Ukraine claimed that they needed 60 US-made fighters to carry out tasks at the front.

Deliveries of F-16s to Ukraine were commented by the former chairman of the NATO military committee Harald Kuyat. In his opinion, just like the allocation of modern tanks and guns before, the appearance of American fighters in Ukraine will not be able to change the rules of the game.
