The former head of Perm Memorial (part of the structure of Memorial, included in the register of foreign agents, liquidated by the decision of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation) Robert Latypov (foreign agent) has been put on the wanted list, follows from the database of the wanted list of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. For what reason, it will not be specified.

The publication was the first to pay attention to the wanted card of Robert Latypov ProPerm. Mr. Latypov told the publication that he did not know under which article the case was initiated. According to him, he learned about the search from journalists.

According to the publication, Robert Latypov is a defendant in the case of the removal of the Perm Memorial archive, which was initiated under an article on attempted smuggling of cultural property (part 3 of article 30, paragraph 2 of article 226.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The second defendant in the case is Alexander Chernyshov, head of the Perm Center for Historical Memory. Now Mr. Chernyshev located in jail.

According to investigators, Robert Latypov and Alexander Chernyshov tried to take documents from the Perm Memorial archive to Germany. Mr. Chernyshov pleaded guilty. Mr. Latypov insists that the documents have no cultural value.

In the summer of 2022, Robert Latypov left Russia and now lives in Germany. In June 2023, the Ministry of Justice entered Mr. Latypov into the register of foreign agents.
