Former Governor of the Kirov Region Igor Vasiliev has been appointed Deputy Head of the Federal State Statistics Service. Relevant order September 15, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin signed.
Mr. Vasiliev oversees the Department of Statistics of Education, Science and Innovation, as well as the Department of Statistics of Agriculture and the Environment. He became one of the six deputy heads of Rosstat Sergey Galkin.
Recall that Igor Vasilyev left the post of governor of the Kirov region on May 10 at his own request. Acting head of the region was appointed Alexander Sokolov, who last Sunday was elected to the post.
Prior to his appointment to the Kirov region in 2016, Igor Vasiliev headed Rosreestr for two years. And in the period from 2010 to 2013 he was an auditor of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation.
