Former player of Spartak and the Russian national team Andrei Tikhonov shared his expectations from the meeting between Baltika and Zenit.
The upcoming match will not be easy for the St. Petersburg team, Tikhonov believes. The results of recent meetings indicate that Kaliningraders know how to “dry the game.”
“Most likely, Zenit will take home their three points, but the victory is unlikely to be major, and Baltika should score their goal. On their home field, they always aim to upset their opponents,” Tikhonov said in an interview with Metaratings.ru.
Baltika is in 15th place in the Russian Premier League standings with 11 points. Zenit is in second place with 26 points.
General Director of Baltika Kirill Volzhenkin previously told about the football club’s plans to enter the new stage of the Russian Cup. In the near future, the Baltic team will compete with Lokomotiv.
