Ex-coach of Metallurg Kanareikin: SKA management has confidence in Rotenberg

Former head coach of Metallurg Fedor Kanareikin expressed his opinion about SKA’s unsuccessful performance in the KHL. The coach spoke about this in an interview with Sportsdaily.
According to Kanareikin, the team’s start was not successful, but there are many reasons for this. Firstly, there is uncertainty with the composition, there are rotations and exchanges.
“The result has been set for the team, the tasks are clear, but so far the army team can’t find the game, that’s why there are a lot of defeats at the beginning of the season.”– explained Kanareikin.
The coach expressed the opinion that the large number of flights does not justify SKA’s defeats, because all teams are on equal terms. At the same time, Kanareikin noted that a long-term contract was signed with army coach Roman Rotenberg. Rotenberg’s resignation from his post, says the former coach of Metallurg, is unlikely.
As for Rotenberg’s possible resignation from the post of head coach of SKA, I see it very difficult. Not long ago a long-term contract was signed with him.
“I understand that at the moment the club’s management has confidence in Rotenberg”– noted Kanareikin.
