Everything for electric vehicles: Moscow enterprises increase production of components

To develop electric transport, metropolitan enterprises are increasing the production of both cars and their components, and equipment for creating infrastructure. “Today in Moscow about 30 companies produce cars, trailers, components and devices for them. “Based on the results of last year alone, they increased production by 40.4%,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky, Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy. He clarified that the electric vehicle industry is actively developing in the city. Manufacturers in the capital are developing varieties of rechargeable batteries and increasing the production of charging stations. In 2022, a specialized cluster was created in Moscow for this purpose; it now includes about 60 companies.

Thus, the Autonomous Energy Systems company has completed testing a battery for public electric transport with improved characteristics. They were tested on prototypes of electric buses. In addition, the batteries can be used in autonomous trolleybuses and trams. Another company, SAGA Technologies, doubled the production of charging stations over the past year compared to 2022. One of the main activities of the enterprise is the development of such stations for electric vehicles.

The production of products for servicing classic cars is also growing. For example, the Kupper enterprise increased its range of oils by 15% in 2023.
