“We spent 8 hours under the scorching sun”
On November 10, 85 Russians were supposed to leave the Gaza Strip. People have been waiting since the morning for the opening of the Rafah checkpoint to travel to Egypt. But they didn’t wait.
“Unfortunately, we never left,” says one of the Russian women. – We sat at the checkpoint from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. under the scorching sun. But we were never given an exit from Palestine. Everyone was told to leave the border area and return home.”
In addition to the Russians, citizens of America, Romania, Albania, India, Poland, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Indonesia, Brazil and China were expected to be evacuated on Friday.
On Saturday, the Russians will again try to leave the Gaza Strip.
