Every second Russian does not need eight hours a day to perform work duties

Nearly half (48%) of respondents who work eight hours a day believe they can complete their work tasks faster without sacrificing quality. At the same time, 15% are confident that they will be able to complete the task in four hours or even faster. However, the most frequently cited time frame was six hours. These are the results survey Superjob research center, which involved citizens working a 40-hour work week.
One in five respondents, on the contrary, said that they need at least eight hours a day to complete their work. Most often, skilled workers, production engineers, and logisticians answered this way. At the same time, in the last survey (conducted in 2016), only 16% of respondents could not cope with their responsibilities faster. Every sixth person generally refused to assess their strengths and capabilities, only stating that they were required to be at work for all eight hours.
Let us remind you that various initiatives have recently been discussed to reduce the working week while maintaining wages. In particular, in March 2023, State Duma deputy Svetlana Bessarabova suggested reduce the number of working hours from 40 to 36, in November, senator from the Ulyanovsk region Airat Gibatdinov contributed a bill to shorten the working day on Friday by one hour has been submitted to the State Duma.
