Design and estimate documentation was submitted in early June. According to it, the cost of construction of the second stage of the bridge across the Lena River (bridge and right-bank approach) will be 122 billion rubles. Designers are also working on the layout of the left bank approach, which will be separated into a separate third stage; its cost is estimated at 130 billion rubles.

President Vladimir Putin back in November 2019 supported project for the construction of a bridge across the Lena in the Yakutsk region. It was planned that the three-kilometer bridge with 11 km of approaches will be completed in 2024. In December 2022, the head of Yakutia Aisen Nikolaev saidthat the construction of a bridge across the Lena will cost more than 70 billion rubles. After this, the price of the project was raised to 176 billion rubles, but later reduced up to 130 billion rubles. It is expected that after the completion of the construction of the bridge, the year-round transport accessibility of the population of Yakutia will increase from 21% to 80%.
