Erdogan: escalation in Karabakh has nothing to do with the Armenian authorities

The press service of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan released his statement regarding the escalation of the situation in Karabakh on September 19, which the Azerbaijani authorities called “anti-terrorist measures of a local nature.”
The Turkish leader emphasized that he believes that the latest events in Karabakh are somehow connected with the Armenian authorities.
“These events are connected with marauding Armenian groups in Karabakh. Their attempt to hold elections for the so-called president seriously worried both Pashinyan and Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan felt that by doing so they were adding fuel to the fire of the ongoing process,” Erdogan said.
