Russian IT entrepreneur and former son-in-law of Boris Berezovsky Georgy Shuppe has died at the age of 52. This was announced by the former commercial director of Kommersant Valery Lyubimova on Facebook (owned by the extremist and banned in the Russian Federation Meta). The cause of death is a heart attack. Since 2004 he has lived in London.
In 1996, Georgy Shuppe created Russia’s first private internet provider, Cityline. By the end of its activities in 2001, Cityline served more than 150,000 subscribers. Georgy Shuppe also became one of the co-founders of the NetSkate production center. In 2004 he moved to the UK and was engaged in venture investments in innovative projects in the UK, Germany, and the USA.
From 1997 to 2012 he was married to the daughter of Boris Berezovsky Ekaterina. In 2014, the ICR accused Georgy Shuppe of organizing the murder of Alexander Mineev, the founder of the Party chain of stores. Mr. Schuppe was put on the federal wanted list. In 2017, the Westminster Magistrates Court refused to extradite him to Russia.
