Energia started victoriously at the Litvinov tournament

On August 31, the first match of the anniversary pre-season basketball competitions in memory of coach Kirill Petrovich Litvinov for the Cup of the Governor of the Ivanovo Region was played at the Sports Palace. In it, Energia hosted the Moscow MBA-2. The opponents of the Orange-and-Blacks are the reigning champions of the Superleague.
The Orange-and-Blacks went to their opening game of the season wearing T-shirts dedicated to the team’s player Maryam Banna: due to an injury, she was forced to miss the Litvinov tournament. The club wishes her a speedy return to duty!
The meeting was held in a stubborn struggle and ended with a minimal victory of the hosts of the site with a score of 57:55 (15:15, 11:14, 17:12, 14:14). Ekaterina Kuznetsova brought the victorious two points to the “tigresses” five seconds before the end of the match.
Ekaterina Zhigiliy (12 points + 8 rebounds) and Ekaterina Kuznetsova (11 points + 4 rebounds) became the most productive in the team.
The remaining matches of the Litvinov tournament will take place from 3 to 7 September at the team sports palace. On Sunday Energiya at 11:30 will start the game against UMMC-Junior (Yekaterinburg). The move for the fans is free.
