Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Defense Andrei Kartapolov confirmed that electronic summonses will be sent during the spring conscription. He clarified that they had already been sent to conscripts in the fall.
“We received electronic summonses during the autumn draft, and they will also arrive during the spring draft,” said Andrey Kartapolov RTVI.
Mr. Kartapolov added that the numerical parameters of the draft will remain unchanged. He also saidthat those conscripted for military service will not be sent to a combat zone. Spring conscription takes place annually on set dates – from April 1 to July 15. Autumn – from October 1 to December 31.
In December 2023, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed use the unified military registration information system and the register of summons during the autumn conscription in 2024.
The Law on Electronic Subpoenas provides for their sending through the State Services portal. After receiving such a summons, restrictions are imposed on the conscript, including a ban on traveling abroad.
