Eight regions of Yakutia are vying for the title of the best hockey team at the V Winter Sports Spartakiad. The matches take place on ice in Neryungri from March 25 to 29. At the first stages of the competition, the team from Yakutsk took the lead, defeating the Khangalassky district with a score of 25:1, and the team from Neryungri, defeating the Namsky district with a score of 26:0, reports the Yakutia 24 portal.
Yesterday, March 27, teams from Ust-Aldan, Khangalas, Megino-Kangalas and Nam regions competed for fifth to eighth places. The teams of Ust-Aldan and Megino-Kangalas districts won their groups with the same score, so on March 29 they will play for fifth place.
Today, March 28, the semi-finals will be held: Neryungri district will meet with Aldansky, and Yakutsk will meet with Mirninsky. It is at these games that the participants in the Spartakiad finals will be determined. Also tomorrow, March 28, there will be a match for 7th place between Namsky and Khangalassky districts.
