On the night of October 31 to November 1, temperatures in the Russian capital will approach record values
Abnormally warm weather, in fact the peak of heat, is predicted in Moscow on November 1, Wednesday. Air masses will come from northern Africa and bring incredible warmth. Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, spoke about this in an interview with the Moscow agency.
“The night from October 31 to November 1 will be Egyptian, temperatures will be plus 7-9,” says the specialist. And during the day it is very comfortable: plus 10-12. Thirteen degrees can be expected in the region. Thus, Muscovites and residents of the region will experience extreme heat – 7 degrees above normal values for this time of year.”
Forecasters recorded the last Moscow record for November 1 in 1934: plus 12.6 degrees.
However, before the warm start of November, Muscovites will have to be patient a little. On Monday, October 30, rain will come to the capital, which will “melt” almost all the snow that has fallen in the capital. According to Roman Vilfand. citizens will literally see how the rain “washes away traces.” On the last day of October, warming in the Russian capital will gain momentum before possibly setting a record. At night it will be up to plus five degrees, during the day – up to ten.
