Since 2017, the city authorities have signed 10 offset contracts for the supply of medicines, medical devices and food products for dairy kitchens. The total volume of investments will reach more than 19 billion rubles. Vladimir Yefimov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations, told the details.

The official noted that the city has been implementing contracts for six years. This year, the number of contracts has increased significantly. “In the period from 2017 to 2021, five of them were signed, and since the beginning of this year, five more offsets have been concluded in vital industries,” said Vladimir Yefimov.

Thanks to offsets, medical institutions of the capital will receive supplies of medicines for more than 90 items. The contracts are aimed at the production of products for stoma patients, as well as the supply of dairy products.

“Since 2021, drugs for the treatment of oncological and autoimmune diseases have been supplied. This year, deliveries of antiglaucoma, antibacterial, analgesic drugs, as well as antidepressants and neuroleptics began,” added Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Moscow Investment and Industrial Policy Department.

Authorities expect another absorbent underwear plant to be operational by the end of the year. Offset contracts appeared in 2016 with the cooperation of the Moscow government and the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. The capital occupies a leading position in this direction.
