According to information telegram channel RBC, last time, in 2020, deputies from different parties could not agree on a decision to award the singer an honorary title, and apologized for this.
By tradition, on the eve of the city’s birthday, two of its citizens receive an honorary title. This year, in addition to Edita Piekha, the former teacher Nadezhda Strogonova, who saved about six hundred children during the blockade, also received it.
