The Russian economy is recovering quickly thanks to the flexible and efficient work of the private sector, said Elvira Nabiullina, chairman of the Central Bank (CB), during a speech at the Federation Council. According to her, business climate indicators are near ten-year highs.

“We already have companies that work in three shifts, many sectors are actively hiring new employees, there are often not enough of them. These trends are, of course, encouraging. But in order for business not to lose this development impulse in the new conditions, we must ensure low inflation. This is a guarantee of long-term investments, attracting financing from the market at comfortable rates,” the head of the Central Bank believes (quoted from TASS).

The day before, June 20, Mrs. Nabiullina saidthat the Russian economy is close to the level of activity in 2021. According to Rosstat, in 2021 the Russian economy grew by 5.6%. In 2022, it fell by 2.1%. Central Bank experts predict growth of 0.8%.
