The next tournament for masters aged 50 and over, which is held annually in Moscow by the Committee of Football Veterans of the Russian Football Union, has ended. According to the results of 12 rounds, the victory went to the Dynamo capital, who scored 152 points.
This season, the competition formula on mini-football grounds has been changed: every month, six participants held a one-round tournament, and the final victory was awarded by the sum of the points scored. In addition, the calculation was in retro style – like in the very first USSR championship, when three points were given for a win, two for a draw, and one for a loss.
The Blue and White, led by Vladimir Dolbonosov, secured first place back in November. Further in the final table are Torpedo, CSKA, the RFU team, Lokomotiv and Spartak. The first vice-president of the RFU, Olympic champion Nikita Simonyan took part in the awarding ceremony for team and individual prizes.
