Dynamo beat Akhmat 2:1 on a rainy Moscow evening

The very strange actions of the leadership of the Grozny club (the absurd dismissal of coach Andrey Talalaev) gave the match in the arena, which bears the name of the only goalkeeper, the owner of the Golden Ball, additional press excitement. But at the post-match press conference, the leaders of Akhmat refused to answer this question from the correspondent of our publication.

“Dynamo” with “Akhmat” took the path of rotation – for the second round of the group stage of the Russian Cup, both teams put up semi-reserve lineups. The hosts gave Ngamale, Dasa and Norman the opportunity to show themselves in all their glory. Daza took the place of the right-back, Ngamale – the left winger, and Norman played in the center of the field. The latter was injured in the middle of the first half and was replaced by Fomin. Dasa and Ngamale did not spoil the picture: they played 80 minutes each and were remembered for their active game in attack. The Cameroonian had a couple of opportunities to score, but the guests’ goalkeeper Mikhail Oparin had a different opinion on this matter.

Duet Smolov-Gladyshev organized the first goal of Dynamo. Already in the 10th minute of the match, Yaroslav gave a pass, and Fedor scored (for the first time since July and in the hundredth game for Dynamo). The hosts put high pressure, at the same time exerting active pressure on the defense of the guests. It was Grozny’s mistake during the defense that led to the first goal of the blue and white.

But Akhmat quickly bounced back: Oleinikov mathematically accurately drew the path of the ball into the goal of Igor Leshchuk. In the first match after the resignation of Andrei Talalaev, his ex-assistant Yuri Nagaytsev decided to “redraw” everything: the 4-4-2 scheme, for the first time in a year; Volmer and Karapuzov in “not their” positions; Oleinikov took a seat in the center. It was Ivan who equalized the score in the match.

But the support zone of Akhmat without Timofeev, Shvets and Troshechkin provided Dynamo with enough free zones in the center of the field – and the blue and white easily delivered the ball to the opponent’s goal. So the hosts scored the second goal: Dynamo ran into a counterattack after the guests’ corner, and Lesovoy brought Gladyshev to the Akhmat goal. It was easier to score there than not to score – this is Yaroslav’s second goal for the blue and white.

After the break, Nagaytsev made a triple substitution, but it did not help. Released Agalarov nothing but incomprehensible actions and inaccurate transfers, not marked. Jokanovic refused to press, and Dynamo switched to keeping the score.

It was hard for the guests to play on their own and find free zones in Dynamo’s tight defense. The guests created the only moment in the 90th minute: Oleinikov almost turned the game into a penalty shoot-out, but Dynamo goalkeeper Leshchuk played superbly.

“Dynamo” still kept the victory in the Cup and now I’m still waiting for a meeting in the RPL with “Zenith” next Saturday.

The Dynamo bartender with an incredibly beautiful name Kairat Issyk-Kul, who skillfully, and most importantly, quickly, prepared coffee and tea for journalists, did not let me freeze on a rainy cold evening in the press box.

“The game was not bad, Dynamo ran forward, we ran forward. Somewhere teams thought less about defense. The audience must have loved it. Of course, we could equalize the score at the end of the match, achieve a draw. But this is a cup, the whole strategy of the fight is ahead. There is nothing terrible here. The main thing is that we made planned replacements before Ural. We didn’t have much time after Nizhny Novgorod. Today, on purpose, some players played in half. We are systematically preparing for the next game, ”this is how Akhmat head coach Yuri Nagaitsev commented on the outcome of the meeting.

“I am satisfied with Dasa’s performance. We worked together seven or eight years ago. He has grown during this time, made a colossal step forward. He is the captain of the Israel national team. I’m not surprised by his quality of play, he likes to join attacks. Dasa became a mature and seasoned player. I’m happy with him,” said Dynamo coach Jokanovic, answering a question from a correspondent of our publication about the newcomer of the blue-and-whites.

“Are we Russia’s last hope to stop Zenit? It’s not the end of life, they have one more day to prepare. For us it will be a serious test. Zenit is a great team, the most skillful in the RPL. Our goal is to fight for the highest places. Everyone understands that the opponent is in the first place, we respect him. But the game on the field will judge everything. It is very pleasant that we will have the opportunity to prove ourselves, to fight one of the best RPL teams. Let’s play!” — this was the answer of the Dynamo coach to my question about the upcoming match with Zenit.
