He stressed that channel administrators should try to do everything possible so that the violations committed do not repeat. “Otherwise, their channels will inevitably be blocked in versions of Telegram distributed through the App Store and Google Play,” he warned.
Those who violate the rules of Telegram itself will be dealt with even more strictly. “Yesterday, after a repeated violation, we were forced to remove a Russian-language channel that called for “cutting” and “shooting” unarmed, defenseless people,” the Russian businessman said. He said that the moderators of the messenger first “hid the problematic post and sent a notification to the channel administrators about the inadmissibility of such content.” But in the future, the owners of the channel published the same message again, and even providing it with a screenshot of the warning received.
Telegram rules, as Durov recalled, expressly prohibit public calls for violence, and a repeated violation will inevitably lead to the removal of the channel.
