During the EEF in Primorye, a super typhoon is expected

On September 6, heavy rains and wind are expected in the south of Primorye due to the approach of super typhoon Hinnamnor. The life support services of the region are put on high alert, informs press service of the government of the region.
“When the typhoon enters the Sea of Japan and moves along the coast of Primorsky Krai at night and in the afternoon on September 6, heavy (15-49 mm in 12 hours or less) and very heavy rains (50 mm or more in 12 hours or less) are expected in the region from the total amount of precipitation is 50–110 mm. This is 60-100% of the norm per month, and in the southern and eastern regions – Nakhodka, Shkotovsky, Partizansky districts, Lazovsky, Kavalerovsky, Terneysky and Olginsky districts, Dalnegorsk – from 120 to 200 mm (100-150% of the monthly norm) ”, – inform the regional authorities with reference to the forecast of Primhydromet.
Heavy rain on the coast will be accompanied by gale-force winds of up to 23–28 meters per second (m/s), and gusts of up to 35 m/s.
In Vladivostok on September 6, the wind force is expected to be less strong – 15–20 m/s, with gusts up to 25 m/s.
The height of the waves in Peter the Great Bay is expected to be up to 4–5 m, in the open part of the sea – up to 6–7 m.
“The threat of flooding of territories by storm, slope runoff, from the spill of streams and small watercourses. On the rivers of the southeastern and eastern coasts, rivers are expected to overflow their banks with the achievement of critical levels, flooding of road sections, low-water bridges, and economic facilities, ”Primgidromet predicts.
The Eastern Economic Forum will be held from 5 to 8 September on Russky Island in Vladivostok. Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected to take part in its work.
