Drawing, new topics in physics and computer science programs

The Ministry of Education has prepared several innovations for school students that can “be implemented” as early as the next academic year.

Firstly, it is planned to supplement the school curriculum in physics, biology and chemistry with several sections. Thus, a course in physics should include a section on nanotechnology, and a course in computer science should include a section on combating fakes. As Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov clarified, a lot of fakes are now appearing.

“And it is very important that the guys can understand and distinguish reality from some invented stories and fakes,” the minister said.

Secondly, it is planned to return drawing lessons to the school curriculum in engineering classes of Moscow secondary educational institutions from September 1, 2023. The authors of the project rightly believe that in order to create cars and aircraft, you need to be able to draw. And this skill is not taught to students. That is why, from the new academic year, students of pre-professional engineering classes will undergo mandatory training in the specialty “design engineer”. The classes will be conducted by specialists from industrial training colleges.

Another “innovation” is the development of new standards for cadet education. Work on them is already underway and should be completed in the spring. Specialists of the Russian society “Knowledge” take part in the creation of new standards. The details of the new standards are not yet known, however, as stated by their developers, it is planned to pay more attention to the military-patriotic education of schoolchildren.
