Due to heavy rains in Vladivostok, children and employees of two kindergartens were evacuated. Some of the children were sent to their parents, the rest were taken to another kindergarten. The Ministry of Education of Primorye, due to flooding, recommended that municipalities postpone the start of schooling.
In mid-August, due to Typhoon Hanun and the polar front, heavy rains occurred in Primorye. Thousands of houses were flooded due to floods. The region has declared a state of emergency. The showers began again on 23 August. Then the number of flooded adjoining plots increased seven times overnight.
On August 25, a storm warning was announced in Primorye due to the southern cyclone. The movement of trams in Vladivostok was stopped, the Ussuri federal road was blocked in the area of the Sedanka microdistrict.
