For two years, the girl wore a detail from a child’s toy in her forehead, and her parents suspected something was wrong only when the seal began to thicken and resemble a bump.
As it became known to “MK”, an unusual patient was admitted to the doctors last week. The parents explained that for a couple of years now they have been watching a strange seal on the forehead of a seven-year-old child. Moreover, it does not dissolve, but only increases in size. Ultrasound diagnostics showed that inside the suspicious lump there is a foreign body that has sunk quite deep into the soft tissues. Probably, this is some kind of pointed object that literally stuck into the head of the child, and no one noticed it. And then he began to overgrow with connective tissue.
When the doctors removed this detail, it turned out that in front of them was a miniature horn of pale pink color. That’s when mom and dad remembered that their baby once fell on her toy unicorn. The wound turned out to be bloodless. Then they treated her and removed the scar with an anti-scar gel.
According to pediatric surgeon Victoria Zhironkina, who performed the operation, the patient returned home immediately after the operation with a neat scar, which will soon become completely invisible.
