Otolaryngologist, doctor of the highest category, candidate of medical sciences Vladimir Zaitsev told URA.RUthat at the beginning of spring, Russians stop wearing hats, as a result of which they may face inflammation in the nasal cavity and the development of rhinitis. In addition, among the frequent diseases in the spring, the specialist singled out beriberi.

As the doctor noted, the sun is already peeping through and shining brightly enough to encourage people to wear lighter clothes and not to wear hats. According to Zaitsev, this cools the skull, nasal cavity and nasopharynx, which is why people suffer from inflammatory diseases of the nasal cavity. The specialist added that if a person has chronic rhinitis, then it becomes aggravated, and if it was not there, then it occurs in an acute form. In addition, the otolaryngologist pointed out that people, as a rule, do not treat it, so the disease turns into rhinosinusitis.

In addition, the specialist noted that the Russians may face beriberi in the spring due to a lack of vitamin D. Zaitsev explained that the fast food system does not always involve fortified food, and this is not always vegetables and fruits. The reason, according to the doctor, is not at all the lack of money, but the absence of such a culture. It is this, according to the otolaryngologist, that creates the prerequisites for beriberi, against which the body is more susceptible to disease.
