The doctor stressed that most people with obesity and diabetes use sweeteners on a regular basis, which leads to a sharp weight gain and an increase in blood glucose levels.
In addition, the sweetener saccharin, for example, can cause cancer, and people who use erythritol are more likely to suffer heart attacks and strokes than others.
