According to the therapist, none of the passengers who remained in the water had a chance to survive in that situation in the waters of the North Atlantic.
“At temperatures around zero, there is a maximum chance of surviving for an hour! Chirkova explained. “And trying to swim accelerates heat loss.”
On the day of the Titanic crash, the water temperature, according to historical data, dropped to minus 2.2 degrees Celsius. With these indicators, hypothermia of the body occurs, according to the doctor, “at a catastrophic rate.” Moreover, most of the energy is lost in the head area.
Titanic director James Cameron recently said he hired a medical examiner and stuntmen to prove that Jack’s death was inevitable. Fans of the film for a long time tormented him with questions about whether the hero could have been saved if he had grabbed the door that was floating past him.
