Dmitry Drize – about reforming the system of patriotic education

In the corridors of Russian power, the idea of creating a new Ministry for Youth Policy and Patriotic Education is being discussed. This was reported by sources of the Vedomosti newspaper. The point is to combine into a single structure the functions of all departments that oversee this area. Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin called on the government to more actively introduce the younger generation to traditional values, while avoiding guarding. Kommersant FM political commentator Dmitry Drize believes that solving such a problem will not be easy.
Sources of the Vedomosti newspaper reported that the idea of creating a new large Ministry for youth policy and patriotic education is being discussed in the corridors of Russian power. Now these functions are dispersed across different departments.
Therefore, the main point is to gather all this into a single fist in order to increase the efficiency of working with the advanced and very important part of Russian society. The idea looks quite logical, because we have to admit: despite all the efforts and allocated budgets, not everything is successful here.
Recently, Vladimir Putin, during a meeting with the government, admonished his subordinates with quotes from the Gospel. The head of state called for the creation of something like an institute of preachers who should bring traditional values to the masses. At the same time, youth policy should not be protective. The president’s theses prompt the idea that we may well be talking about that very large youth department with the functions of an all-Russian preacher who is engaged in patriotic education.
And this is partly not bad, if only because among the educators of patriotism among young people, there are also predominant security forces that are engaged precisely in security – that is, what should not be in the presentation of the head of state.
To summarize what has been said, the creation of a new youth patriotic educational department is indeed quite possible. Unless the officials, who risk losing their warm places, will try to somehow prevent all this. Moreover, the new structure will inevitably come into conflict with allied forces, for example, with the educational bloc and the aforementioned security forces.
Of particular interest is also the question: what exactly can the Ministry of Education offer that is new and exciting, which was not there before, and what will force young citizens to finally take the right path and not turn away from it anywhere, not to succumb to the temptation of unfriendly countries and alien ideas?
And so that without forceful pressure, but acting only with a kind word and conviction, without releasing emotions. And now it is already clear, even offhand, that this task is not an easy one. All aspects will have to be seriously worked out and coordinated with other ministries, while no one really asks the youth themselves.
