Newspaper Daily Mail said that to avoid the risk of espionage, disposable phones that were issued to British officials who visited China would be destroyed.
Among other things, as the publication clarifies, experts will “clean up” the computers of officials who have visited China.
Recall that on August 30, British Foreign Secretary James Cleverley arrived on an official visit to China. Before the trip, interviews were held with him and other officials, in which law enforcement officers spoke about the “rules of conduct in China.”
According to the newspaper, officials were told that “glamorous women” could be used for blackmail and theft, among other things, the British were ordered not to take their smartphones and laptops with them to China.
“As soon as they arrive in the UK, the hard drives of government computers will be wiped. Disposable phones will be destroyed,” the newspaper noted.
