China’s largest consumer drone manufacturer Da-Jiang Innovations (DJI) introduced new drone Mini 3, which became a cheaper version of the Mini 3 Pro model. The new drone will be available for sale in January 2023 starting at $409, and accessories for the DJI Mini 3 are already available.
The drone is equipped with a 48 MP camera with 4x digital zoom and support for shooting 4K video at 30 frames per second, 2x and 4x digital zoom are provided, depending on the recording resolution. Live video broadcasting up to 10 km is also supported.
DJI Mini 3 has the ability to fly and shoot according to pre-programmed programs. The novelty differs from the Pro version with simplified collision protection and object tracking systems. The declared autonomy is up to 38 minutes of flight without changing the battery or up to 51 minutes with a more capacious battery.
Recall that in April 2022, DJI stopped (https://www.kommersant.ru/doc/5328513) work in Russia and Ukraine. The company explained this decision by “reassessing the requirements” of market compliance. The company does not plan to officially supply new drones to the Russian market.
