Divers compete in ice orienteering in Vladivostok

Divers from six countries gathered in Vladivostok to compete in ice navigation. This is the tenth time such international competitions have been held.

This year’s UNDERICE GAMES features athletes from the UAE, Kuwait, China, Russia, Malaysia and Egypt. The opening took place on February 24.

Athletes of all ages will compete for medals. The youngest diver is 13-year-old Roman Yukin.

Before the start, Vladivostok Mayor Konstantin Shestakov wished all the athletes good luck. And the representative of the UAE Navy, Mohamed Obaid Mubarak Obaid Altenage, presented the mayor with an official sign of friendship between the UAE and Vladivostok. Obaid noted that this is a sign of peace and cooperation between the UAE and the Far East.
