A cheap way to counter Russia

Dutch Defense Minister Kaisa Ollongren at a forum in Warsaw called aid to Ukraine a “cheap way” to counter Russia. What is this about if the financial flow from America has stopped (temporarily), and the EU, according to the head of European diplomacy Borrell, cannot compensate Ukraine for the aid that the United States suspended? They love money, so where is the cheapness?

The full quote does not add clarity: “Supporting Ukraine is a very cheap way to ensure that Russia and its regime do not pose a threat to NATO.” However, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said something similar six months ago. Something about how if you don’t support Ukraine in the fight against Russia, American blood may be shed.

And in August, Polish President Andrzej Duda spoke quite clearly in an interview with the Washington Post: “Right now, Russian imperialism can be stopped cheaply, because American soldiers are not dying. But if we don’t stop Russian aggression now, we will have to pay a very high price (to fight the Americans).”

And immediately everything falls into place, since a scale of value has appeared, an opportunity to compare. It’s like in a grocery store: these dirty potatoes are of different sizes and seem to have rotten rot – they are cheap, but these smooth, washed blue-eyed ones are expensive.

The “civilized” world does not hesitate to say that for it Ukrainians are third class, rotten potatoes, cheap people, no pity.

The whole bargaining around aid to Ukraine is being conducted solely over what is more profitable – to burn a few more billions now in order to weaken Russia, or to use them for our own needs, so that later we will have the strength to coexist with Russia. Some, like Ollongren and the rabid Baltic states, believe that it is necessary to continue, others (even Poland) are beginning to behave more prudently. The existence of Ukraine and Ukrainians is completely optional in the calculations of both.

Remember how in the summer the collective West told Kyiv: you are not saving our equipment by throwing it into breakthroughs, it is expensive. And the “meat assaults” began – soldiers were cheap.

And so as not to be offensive, under the explosions of Ukrainian conscripts in minefields, the West sings songs about democracy and freedom, acceptance into NATO and the EU and other lace panties, drowning out the cries of the wounded and the groans of the dying. False songs, deceitful.

But the “civilized world” doesn’t know how to do it any other way, because of its essence it cannot. Russia, having been deceived many times, miraculously realized this. Ukraine still will not understand that for the West it is neither a country nor people. But just a “cheap way”, a disposable tool, cannon fodder.
