Advertising will appear in the lower left corner of the screen and will be targeted: the age, location and gaming activity of users are taken into account. The company plans to recruit a staff of 12 employees to sell advertising on the service. Previously, Discrod positioned itself as an ad-free social network and existed through the Nitro subscription.
Companies that offer players rewards for completing tasks (quests) in games will be able to distribute advertising. Users will be able to turn off advertising in the settings. The innovation has the potential to both improve user engagement and worsen the gaming experience and violate user privacy.
