Director Boyakov seriously proposed depriving women of the right to vote

Ay-ya-yay, Mr. Boyakov! Found the time and place to be honest. For those who are not in the know: an eminent theater director said that the suffrage should be left only to men – women do not need it. No, the idea is certainly interesting and by no means divorced from reality: the great campaign we have begun to return to the origins and traditional values, if it is not stopped, sooner or later will reach this point of the route, to patriarchy. But why are you talking about it?

A revelation from Eduard Vladislavovich was made in an interview with journalist Katerina Gordeeva (included by the Ministry of Justice in the register of foreign agents), author and host of the YouTube channel Tell Gordeeva. In order not to be accused of snatching phrases out of context, let’s reproduce this part of the dialogue in full, without cuts:

“Boyakov. I don’t believe in democracy, that’s for sure. This is political technology, turn it around… I believe in the vertical, I believe in the hierarchy. Now, in general, you will probably fall down – after you hear my opinion that, of course, suffrage, if left, it should be completely different. Of course, the right to vote should be given to the head of the family.

Gordeev. And who is the head of the family?

Boyakov. Man. Man. He must have as many ballots as he has children. And so the whole family should vote for … For this. I understand how wild this sounds to your dedicated liberal mind, but to me it sounds absolutely clear and simple. Because husband and wife are one body.

Gordeev. Does your wife agree with this?

Boyakov. Certainly. Husband and wife are one body…

The idea, indeed, is absolutely clear and simple: a woman is a friend of a man and a voter. Well, arguing from the point of view of adherents of traditional values, everything is logical. From the point of view of the most ardent zealots, it is not that the granting of voting rights to women, but even the celebration of International Women’s Day, is wrong, not strong.

Here, for example, are detailed claims to the holiday, which the author found on the website of one of the cathedrals of the Russian Orthodox Church: “The origins of March 8 have nothing to do with the spirit of Orthodoxy. This holiday was originally conceived as a holiday of a revolutionary woman, calling her to freedom and independence, while the Church directly tells us: “A wife, let her fear her husband” (Eph. 5:33). Unfortunately, many women cannot understand one thing, that they cannot be happy when they are completely free.”

In general, the director’s statements do not contradict the spirit of the times. They correspond so much that there is a feeling that these are not just thoughts aloud, but our long-term, strategic plans. But that is precisely why these thoughts cannot be considered timely. Hurry up and make people laugh. Why was it necessary to disclose the plans ahead of time, to give them up to be scolded and ridiculed by foreign agents-liberals?

Why is there a liberal “fifth column”! Even the conservative public, and perhaps not all of them, will react to Boyakov’s thoughts with the same understanding with which the director’s wife perceived them. There is even a risk that quite a few conservatives will converge on this point with liberals: they say, everything is good in moderation, but the director has clearly lost his sense of proportion. And then, what good, they will demand to interrupt the return to the roots altogether.

In short, such bold ideas should not be dumped on an unprepared audience. They will not understand, they will not appreciate the prophet in their Fatherland. Everything has its time. So Marx taught that society cannot skip the natural phases of development. The same rule applies, presumably, to the retrogression of society.

We have not yet completely passed through the phase of elections without alternatives (we have not reached the phase when there is literally one party and one candidate on the ballot, and all other parties and candidates are from the evil one and enemies of the people), and Boyakov is already demanding to deprive women of voting rights. Have patience, mister director!

If the majestic pace of our movement to the origins and depths does not stop, then it will reach both the patriarchy and the God-anointed “vertical”. And then it will be possible to think about the souls. For starters, at least 200-300 per boyar… ugh, boyar. And then – how will it go.

However, you can, perhaps, still take a chance and jump over. But only in such a way that the game is worth the candle: not to jump over some separate phases-steps, but to dive straight into the beginning of the beginnings, into the depths of the depths. In short – in a primitive society.

True, in the event of a jump, Mr. Director will have some bad news. The first is that there will be no theater in such an ideally traditional society, not clouded by any pernicious liberal trends. The theater will end on the much higher floors of the civilizational “elevator” – immediately after the return to patriarchy. And then there will be completely different, more primordial entertainment. Including, for example, cannibalism.

Out of habit, you turn to the natives with some kind of uplifting speech: hello, they say, a young, unfamiliar tribe, and the tribe will take you in response and devour you. Without grimacing, without looking at past services to the theater and the authorities.

There is, however, good news: Eduard Vladislavovich will soon turn 59 years old, and therefore, the risk is not too great. Little is known about the morals that prevailed in those initial times, but there is reason to believe that directors who were at such a respectable age were not eaten then. Not out of respect for gray hair and political maturity, of course, but for purely gastronomic reasons: you can find more delicious dishes than venerable directors, exhausted by the struggle for traditional values.
