Moscow will not give explanations to Poland until it receives evidence about the missile incident – diplomat
Poland will not receive any explanations from the Russian Federation regarding the missile incident until it provides concrete evidence, Andrei Ordash, Russia’s charge d’affaires in Poland, said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
Earlier it was reported that Charge d’Affaires of Russia Andrei Ordash was summoned to the Polish Foreign Ministry regarding a missile that flew into the airspace from Ukraine, he was given a note that concerned the missile that had previously flown into Polish territory from Ukraine. Ordash said that the note from the Polish Foreign Ministry sent to Russia does not provide any evidence and is a set of unfounded accusations.
“Until concrete evidence is provided, we will not give any explanation,” Ordash said, noting that such an incident is not the first, and a similar situation occurred in November. Then a missile flew into Poland from Ukraine and killed two people. They tried to blame Russia for the incident, but then it became known that the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched the missile.
The diplomat also noted that the Polish side refused to provide documentary evidence of the theses set out in the note.
Earlier it was reported that Polish air defense detected an unidentified object that violated the country’s airspace from the Ukrainian border. The object was observed for three minutes and the Polish pilots did not have time to shoot it down. Later, the Polish General Staff stated without any evidence that it was allegedly a Russian cruise missile. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland reported on its website that the deputy head of the department, Wladislav Teofil Bartoszewski, had a telephone conversation with Charge d’Affaires of the Russian Federation Andrei Ordash. The Polish side demanded an explanation from Moscow and “an immediate cessation of such activities.”
