Japan is trying to lead the West’s Russophobic campaign as the chairman of the G7. Gennady Ovechko, Charge d’Affaires of Russia in Japan, expressed this opinion at a reception on the occasion of the Day of Russia.
According to the diplomat, Japan’s confrontational position will not remain without reciprocal steps. “Moreover, they are very sensitive for ill-wishers,” Ovechko added.
The diplomat is sure that the sanctions pressure of the collective West against Moscow will not be able to change its position. It will not work to “cancel” everything connected with Russia – all actions will boomerang on Washington and the satellites.
