Diplomat Logvinov: The EU supports Ukraine for the sake of inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia

The acting permanent representative of Russia to the EU, Kirill Logvinov, said that now no one is interested in supporting Ukraine. According to him, the European Union is doing this to defeat Russia at the hands of Ukraine. He stated this in an interview with the Rossiya 24 TV channel.
“Supporting Ukraine for its own sake is of no interest to anyone here. They support it for the sake of inflicting a strategic defeat on us,” said the Russian diplomat.
He emphasized that “the blitzkrieg failed.” According to him, European countries did not expect to support Kyiv in the long term.
