Diplomat Alimov: The Russian Foreign Ministry is ready to support the organization of an analogue of Eurovision

Director of the Department for Multilateral Humanitarian Cooperation and Cultural Relations of the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Alimov said that the foreign policy department ready to support organization of the music competition “InterVision”.
The head of the Ministry of Culture Olga Lyubimova previously voiced the idea of creating a music competition EurasiaVision+ (“InterVision”). The general director of Channel One, Konstantin Ernst, proposed holding the InterVision music competition as early as 2024 and making it an annual event.
“The Foreign Ministry knows about this initiative,” Alimov noted. The Russian Foreign Ministry, he said, is ready to interact with all talented, ambitious, charismatic initiators of projects that are aimed at ensuring the interests of our country. “They will call us, we will, of course, work,” Alimov promised.
“These are not political projects,” the diplomat emphasized. “Russia does not close itself off from anyone.” According to him, Russia is committed to interaction in the field of culture with everyone who shows “an equally constructive attitude in our direction.”
