Mukhtar is planning to erect a monument
The inhabitants of Yalta mourn the death of the dog Mukhtar, who has long become a symbol of loyalty to man. The favorite of local residents and tourists for 12 years was waiting for his deceased owner. Every morning the dog came to the embankment and peered into the sea, but its owner could not return – he was a lifeguard and, as local residents told MK, he died in the line of duty.
Over time, the dog nailed the musician Victor, who performed on the embankment and played the trumpet. At first, the dog got into the habit of howling to the music, apparently, the melodies caused him a special state of sadness. And then he began to come every day to “sing” on the embankment. He even had favorite works – “Travelers in the Night” by Frank Sinatra and “There is Only a Moment” by Alexander Zatsepin.
Musician Victor began to take care of the dog, and over time, Mukhtar trusted him. Once he almost died, he himself acted as a rescuer, like his first owner. Mukhtar rushed to save people who were riding a banana. He did not realize that the vacationers were screaming simply from an excess of emotion. The dog was injured by the propeller of a motor boat and he was ill for a long time, but he was able to “stand on his paws” again. A dog with a sad history singing on the Yalta embankment has become the hallmark of the city.
The death of the symbol of Yalta was announced on social networks by its second owner. Victor said that everything was fine with the dog the day before, but suddenly Mukhtar suddenly became ill. He even had time to examine the veterinarian and give supportive medication. But, nevertheless, it did not have the desired effect. “The dog died simply of old age, because he was already twenty years old,” Victor explained.
Even during the life of the Yalta Hatiko, they wanted to erect a monument to him on the embankment. Now the administration and concerned citizens are planning to return to this issue.
