“Dictation of Victory”: “United Russia” held the International Patriotic Action for the fifth time

This year, 22,000 venues across Russia and 46 countries joined the event

The large-scale patriotic action “Dictation of Victory” took place for the fifth time. Participants from all over Russia and at venues in 46 countries tested their knowledge of the history of our country. Traditionally, the Victory Museum on Poklonnaya Hill in Moscow has become the main venue for the action. Sites in Kingissep of the Leningrad region, Paris, Volgograd and on Elbrus connected to it in the teleconference mode.

The start of the action was given by the chairman of the Russian Historical Society Sergey Naryshkin. According to him, taking part in the “Victory Dictation” is an act of a real citizen, a worthy way to pay tribute to the memory and respect of the victors in the brutal struggle against a dangerous enemy – Nazi Germany.

“The feat of the victorious generation, the courage, courage of our fathers and grandfathers remind us of the enduring value of patriotism, teach us never to back down in the face of the enemy and be responsible for the present and future of our great Fatherland,” Naryshkin spoke with these words.

He stressed that the “Victory Dictation” should motivate the participants to further study the rich centuries-old history of our country. In addition, Naryshkin expressed his deep gratitude to all veterans of the Great Patriotic War.

Secretary of the United Russia General Council Andrey Turchak welcomed those gathered at the site in the city of Kingisepp, Leningrad Region. Today, a solemn ceremony of lighting the Eternal Flame at the Grove of Five Hundred memorial took place here. According to Turchak, “Victory Dictation” is not only about knowledge about the Great Patriotic War.

“This is a kind of bridge of memory about the unprecedented feat of our soldiers who defended the freedom and independence of our Motherland during the Great Patriotic War, about the home front workers, about the workers of the national economy who restored our country in the post-war years,” Turchak said.

The coordinator of the party project “United Russia” “Historical Memory” Alexander Khinshtein said that every year the number of participants in the patriotic dictation is growing. This year, it was written at many iconic venues in the Orlyonok children’s center, in the Patriot park, in the Derbent fortress, on the Island of the Earth, in space on the International Space Station. Passengers of the “southern” flight of Yamal Airlines took part in the “Victory Dictation” at an altitude of 10,000 meters.

“Today, “Victory Dictation” was written in cities and villages, on ships and Arctic stations, railway stations and airports, on a floating ATS station. The first stage of the “Victory Dictation” in the Far Eastern regions was written on more than 1,700 venues,” Khinshtein said.

People’s Artist of Russia Vladimir Mashkov said that during the war, the Russian people showed such an example of love for the Motherland, self-sacrifice and firmness of spirit, which the world had not yet known. He wished everyone success and said that memory can conquer even death.

“By saving themselves, the Russians saved humanity from the Nazi threat. And it was not the superiority of their weapons that helped them, but the superiority of their spirit. We should all remember this, ”the actor quoted the politician Franklin Roosevelt.

It should be noted that for the first time more than 300 venues were opened to participate in the “Victory Dictation” in new regions – the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.

For applicants who answer all the questions correctly, the “Victory Dictation” gives additional preferences when entering universities. And federal winners get the right to take part and become witnesses of the May 9 Victory Parade on Red Square.
