Pushilin announced the establishment of control over the last way of supplying the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Artemovsk

Russian forces took control of the last section of the road supplying the Ukrainian army in Artemovsk (Ukrainian name – Bakhmut). This was announced by the acting head of the DPR Denis Pushilin on the air of the Russia-24 TV channel.

“On the section of the highway in the direction of Khromov, the situation is completely under fire control. It was the last road,” he said (quote according to TASS).

Pushilin noted that the enemy still continues to move under fire, as a result of which the Armed Forces of Ukraine are losing part of their reserves along the way. Separate units of the Ukrainian army are also trying to move through the fields, he added.

Commenting on the situation in Artemovsk, Pushilin said that now Russian forces continue to knock out the enemy from positions in the city. According to him, the Ukrainian military is still in the block of high-rise buildings with an area of ​​one and a half kilometers in the western part of Artemivsk.

The day before, on April 26, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the assault squads continued to destroy units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and mercenaries in the western part of Artemovsk. Russian fighters are supported by units of the Airborne Forces and the “Southern” group of troops.

April 21 Evgeny Prigozhin, founder of Wagner PMC declaredthat the Armed Forces of Ukraine are in an operational environment, however, it is still too early to talk about the formation of a boiler for the enemy in Artemovsk. Pushilin noted that the situation in the city remains tense, Russian forces are advancing, but now “it is still premature to speak as a fait accompli about the boiler.”

By data adviser to the acting head of the DPR, Jan Gagin, as of April 18, about 90% of Artemovsk was under the control of Wagner PMC.
