Industrial enterprises will have to transfer their control systems to the Aurora OS platform. Such a task is included in the roadmap “New system-wide software,” Ilya Massukh, director of the Competence Center for Import Substitution in the field of information and communication technologies (ICT), said on November 24 at a round table in the Federation Council dedicated to supporting import substitution in ICT. The top manager of one of the state corporations also knows about plans to develop industrial software for Aurora.
According to Massukh, two roadmaps are currently being developed – New Industrial Software and New General System Software. They will be a continuation of the government’s initiative to create industrial competence centers and development competence centers. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced the creation of such centers at the CIPR conference in the summer of 2022, according to the plan, they will have to analyze the needs of the industrial market and develop the software necessary for import substitution.
